Becasue women go after money and men go after looks. An older man will have more money, and a wounger woman is more likely to be better looking, although not always.
Like women are blind? I personally do like to have a good looking guy, but his personality ALWAYS comes before looks or money. I'd rather be with an average looking guy that's dirt poor but understands me and appreciates me for me, than to be with a really handsome rich guy that I can't relate to.
