Yesterday I saw a sign advertising a "Fine Art and Crafts Show". Is it just me or does that make as much sense as The Three Tenors singing at the Grand Old Opry?

Maybe it should have read "Mediocre Art and Crafts Show."
Sometimes it's hard to distinguish between 'fine art' and 'crafts'. Many an 'art' museum is filled with poorly crafted 'masterpieces'. And many country homes are filled with masterfully made 'crafts.'
I agree, Rae Ann. I just loved the juxtaposition of the two terms. Most people who sponsor "fine art shows" are much too snooty to allow "crafts" to contaminate their events.
