I don't understand why worms are used as bait. Worms don't live in water, so fish have never seen them. Why would they think they are good to eat?

I asked my fisherman husband and he said that the fish like anything that wiggles. Sounds like something he made up, don't you think?

Rae Ann, you're husband is absolutely correct. Fish are so stupid that they will eat ANYTHING that wiggles. Try sticking your finger in an aquarium and wiggling it.

There are some aquatic worms, so maybe they look enough alike that the fish don't know the differnce.
