Why is it that FedEx and UPS can get a package anywhere on the planet overnight, but the US Postal Service takes four days to get a package from Edison, NJ to Middlesex, NJ, a distance of less than ten miles?

I had a piece of mail one time that took 45 days to reach me and it was sent from downtown a distance of about 8 blocks. So you see Canada post is not any faster. Also at one point when I lived at the same location for some unknown reason they decided I had moved and when I called about no mail he told me I had to put in a change of address, to which I replied I had not moved, the conversation then went to the fact that there was an illegal suite below me. It was then I lost it and I started yelling that this had nothing to do with me since I was renting the place and wanted my mail, at which point he told me the letter carrier was not delivering it because there was never a car in the driveway and it appeared deserted, I explained that I work and used my car to get there. Final results? I had to go and pick up my mail. I too hate the post office
